in front of merchants

Four steps. No fees. Your products show up in the merchant catalog the moment you hit "Active." Here's exactly what to do.

Your 4-Step Launch Checklist

Step 1 · 3 minutes

Add Your First Product

From your dashboard, click "Add Product" in the Products tab. Fill in the core fields — you can always update them later.

  • Product name — be specific: "Hand-thrown Stoneware Bowl" beats "Bowl"
  • Category — helps merchants filter by type (ceramics, textiles, jewelry, etc.)
  • Description — materials, dimensions, what makes it special
  • Wholesale price — what merchants pay you (required)
  • Lead time — days to make and ship (e.g., 14)
  • Min order qty — lowest quantity per order (default: 1)
Tip: Products with photos get significantly more clicks. Add image URLs in the Images field — even a single clear photo makes a big difference.

Set Your Pricing

CraftBridge uses a two-price model — wholesale (what you charge merchants) and suggested retail (what merchants charge their customers).

Beta pricing: There are zero fees for suppliers right now. You receive the full wholesale amount you set.

Tell Your Story

The Origin Story field is one of the most powerful things on your product listing. Merchants source from CraftBridge because they want products with a narrative — their customers ask "who made this?"

  • Origin story — the tradition, the maker, the inspiration behind this piece
  • Craft type — e.g. "Wheel-thrown", "Hand-carved", "Hand-loomed"
  • Origin country — where it's made (shown prominently in merchant catalog)
Real example: "Wheel-thrown in a small workshop in Oaxaca using clay from the Sierra Juárez mountains. Each piece is fired in a wood kiln and no two are identical." — This is what merchants read to their customers.

Step 4 · Instant

Go Active

Products have three states. Only ACTIVE products appear in the merchant catalog.

Draft

Saved but invisible to merchants. Use while building out your listing.

Active

Live in the catalog. Merchants can browse, save, and order immediately.

Archived

Hidden and removed from catalog. Preserves order history.

Set status to "Active" when creating or editing your product to go live immediately. No review required.

Common Questions

What are the shipping and lead time expectations? ▼
Set your realistic lead time in days — this is the time from order confirmed to shipped. Merchants use this to plan sourcing timelines. Be honest: a longer accurate lead time builds more trust than a short one you can't meet.
What are minimum order quantities? ▼
The Min Order Qty field sets the minimum number of units per order. If you need at least 5 pieces per production run, set it to 5. Merchants see this before placing an order. Default is 1.
When does payment happen and what are the terms? ▼
Merchants pay at checkout via Stripe. CraftBridge adds a 15% marketplace fee on top of your wholesale price (paid by the merchant, not you). You receive 100% of the wholesale price you set. Payment terms and payout schedules are being finalized during beta — you'll receive updates as this rolls out.
When can merchants see my products? ▼
Immediately after you set a product to Active status. There is no review queue or approval process. Your products appear in the merchant catalog the moment you save them as active.
Can I edit products after publishing? ▼
Yes. Edit any product field at any time from your Products tab. Changes take effect immediately in the catalog. You can also archive a product to remove it from the catalog without deleting its history.
