Getting Started — Merchants

Everything you need to go from signup to your first import

📋

New merchant? Start here.

Check out our step-by-step Merchant Guide — it covers browsing, connecting Shopify, importing products, and placing your first wholesale order.

Go to /merchant/register and fill in your business name, email, and password. You'll be logged in automatically and taken to your dashboard. No approval required — you can start browsing the catalog immediately.
Yes — merchant accounts are completely free to install and use. No monthly fee, no subscription, no auto-renewal, no setup cost. You pay only when you place an order: the supplier's wholesale price plus a 15% platform fee per order. No hidden charges, no billing surprises — unlike subscription-based platforms that continue charging after cancellation.
From your merchant dashboard, click Browse Products in the sidebar. You can filter by category, sort by price or newest, and search by name. Click any product card to see full details — origin story, materials, lead time, and wholesale price.
Click Order Now on any product card. Enter the quantity (respecting the minimum order quantity), your shipping address, and any notes for the supplier. Review the total — you'll see wholesale price, platform fee, and total clearly itemized — then pay via Stripe. Once paid, the order moves to Pending and the supplier is notified.
Go to My Orders in your dashboard sidebar. Every order shows its current status: Pending → Confirmed → In Production → Shipped → Delivered. Orders requiring payment will show a Pay Now button.
Every supplier is manually reviewed before their products appear in the catalog. We verify they're genuine artisans, review product quality, and confirm accurate descriptions. Suppliers earn tier badges over time based on order performance:
  • New Artisan — just joined
  • Verified — identity and product quality confirmed
  • Trusted — consistent on-time delivery and reviews
  • Master — top-tier performance over many orders
Yes. Each order is tied to a specific product and supplier. You can place multiple orders across different suppliers simultaneously. Each order is tracked and fulfilled independently.
Contact us at craftbridge@polsia.app with your order ID and a description of the issue. We mediate disputes between merchants and suppliers and will work to resolve the situation fairly.

Getting Started — Suppliers

How to list your work, get orders, and get paid

📋

New supplier? Start here.

Check out our Supplier Getting Started Guide — it covers adding your first product, setting prices, writing your origin story, and going active in the marketplace.

Go to /supplier/register. Fill in your name, email, business/brand name, craft type, and password. You'll be automatically logged in and taken to your supplier dashboard. You can start adding products right away — your products will appear in the catalog once reviewed.
From your dashboard, click Products in the sidebar, then click Add Product. Fill in:
  • Product name and description
  • Craft type and materials
  • Wholesale price and retail price
  • Minimum order quantity (MOQ)
  • Lead time (days to produce)
  • Up to 5 product images
Save it — it'll appear in the catalog once set to Active status.
You set your own wholesale price — the amount you want to receive per unit. Merchants pay your wholesale price plus a 15% platform fee (kept by CraftBridge). You receive your full wholesale price when the order is fulfilled and verified. There's no listing fee and no monthly cost.
Go to Orders in your dashboard. New orders appear with status Pending. Review each order and click Accept to confirm or decline if you can't fulfil it. Once accepted, update the status as you work:
  • Confirmed — you've acknowledged the order
  • In Production — actively making it
  • Shipped — item dispatched (add tracking info)
  • Delivered — confirmed received
Your origin story is what sets your work apart from mass-produced alternatives. Tell merchants where you're based, how you learned your craft, what materials you source and why, and what makes each piece unique. 3–5 sentences is enough. Merchants read origin stories before ordering — it builds trust.
Products appear in the catalog when their status is set to Active. You control this from your Products tab — toggle a product between Active, Draft, and Archived. New suppliers may have products reviewed before going live; this typically takes 1–2 business days.
Payments are processed via Stripe when a merchant pays for an order. Your payout (wholesale price × quantity ordered) is transferred to your registered bank account. Payout timing follows Stripe's standard schedule. Contact us at craftbridge@polsia.app for payout questions or to update your banking details.
You set the MOQ for each product. A MOQ of 1 means merchants can order a single unit; higher MOQs make sense if your process requires batch production. You can edit the MOQ on any product from your Products tab at any time (changes apply to new orders only).

Shopify Integration

Connecting your store and importing products

From your merchant dashboard, click Integrations in the sidebar. Enter your Shopify store URL (e.g., your-store.myshopify.com) and click Connect Store. You'll be redirected to Shopify to authorize CraftBridge. Approve the app and you'll be sent back — connection takes about 30 seconds.
CraftBridge requests two scopes: write_products (to create and update product listings in your store) and read_products (to check for duplicate imports). We never access your customer data, orders, financials, inventory management, or fulfillment. You can review and revoke access at any time from your Shopify Admin → Apps.
Once your Shopify store is connected, every product card in the catalog shows a ⬆ Shopify button. Click it — CraftBridge pushes the product to your Shopify admin instantly. The button changes to ✓ Imported to prevent duplicates. In Shopify, go to Products → find the item → set it to Active to publish it.
CraftBridge syncs the following fields to your Shopify product:
  • Title — product name
  • Description — full product description
  • Images — all product photos
  • SKUCB-{product_id} for easy identification
  • Price — the retail price set by the supplier
You can edit any field in Shopify after importing.
No. Once a product is imported, the button shows ✓ Imported and is disabled. This prevents duplicate listings in your Shopify store. If you need to re-import (e.g., after deleting the product from Shopify), contact us at craftbridge@polsia.app.
Go to Dashboard → Integrations and click Disconnect. Products already imported to Shopify remain in your store — disconnecting only removes the ability to import new products. You can reconnect at any time using the same process.
First, verify your Shopify store is connected: go to Dashboard → Integrations and check that your store URL shows with a green ✓ badge. If it shows as disconnected, try reconnecting. If the issue persists after reconnecting, email craftbridge@polsia.app with your merchant ID and the product name — we'll investigate.

Payments & Payouts

How money moves between merchants, CraftBridge, and suppliers

Merchants pay:
  • Wholesale price — the price the supplier sets per unit
  • 15% platform fee — charged by CraftBridge on the wholesale total
There's no monthly subscription, no setup fee, and no charge for browsing or importing to Shopify. You only pay when you place an order.
Payments are processed through Stripe. Accepted payment methods include major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) and bank transfers where available in your region. Stripe's checkout is PCI-compliant — CraftBridge never stores your card details.
Payment is collected upfront when you place an order. This ensures suppliers can proceed with production. If an order is declined by the supplier (rare), your payment is refunded — contact us to initiate this process.
Suppliers receive their wholesale price directly via Stripe payouts to their registered bank account. Payouts are processed after order delivery confirmation. The 15% platform fee is retained by CraftBridge. Contact us at craftbridge@polsia.app to set up or update your payout details.
Refunds are handled case by case. Contact us at craftbridge@polsia.app with your order ID and reason. Common situations we handle:
  • Supplier unable to fulfil the order → full refund
  • Item significantly different from description → full or partial refund
  • Item damaged in shipping → replacement or refund
Please note: because items are handmade to order, we cannot accept returns for "change of mind."
Yes. All payments are processed by Stripe, which is PCI DSS Level 1 certified — the highest level of security certification. CraftBridge never stores your card number or banking details. Stripe handles tokenization and encryption.

Product Listings

For suppliers managing their catalog

There's no hard limit during beta. List as many products as you actively produce. Keep in mind that merchants evaluate suppliers by the quality and accuracy of listings — fewer high-quality listings outperform many low-effort ones.
Use clear, well-lit photos that show the product accurately. Recommended:
  • At least one clean front-facing shot on a neutral background
  • A detail/texture shot showing craftsmanship
  • A lifestyle or scale shot if helpful
  • JPEG or PNG, minimum 800px on the short side
Avoid blurry, dark, or heavily filtered images — they reduce buyer confidence.
Yes. Go to Products in your dashboard, click the edit icon on any product. You can update the description, price, images, lead time, and stock. Changes to wholesale price apply to new orders only — existing confirmed orders are honoured at the original price.
  • Active — visible in the merchant catalog, orderable
  • Draft — saved but not visible to merchants (use while editing)
  • Archived — hidden and no longer orderable (e.g., seasonal items)
Switch status anytime from the Products tab.
Use the Inventory tab in your dashboard to update stock levels per product. If stock drops to zero, consider setting the product to Draft to prevent new orders. We'll add automatic low-stock alerts in a future update.
If a product doesn't pass review, you'll receive an email at your registered address explaining why. Common reasons include unclear photos, inaccurate descriptions, or pricing that doesn't reflect the handmade nature of the item. Edit the product to address the feedback and it'll be re-queued for review.

Shipping & Fulfillment

Lead times, tracking, and delivery

Lead times are set by each supplier and shown on every product card. They typically range from 3 to 21 days depending on the complexity of the item and whether it's made to order. Check the product card before ordering if you have a time-sensitive need.
Shipping is handled by the supplier. Each supplier chooses their preferred carrier (e.g., USPS, FedEx, DHL). CraftBridge coordinates the logistics information — the merchant provides a delivery address at order time, and the supplier ships directly to that address.
Shipping costs are currently included in the wholesale price during our beta period. As we scale, we'll introduce transparent shipping line items. If you have questions about a specific order's shipping cost, contact us at craftbridge@polsia.app.
From your dashboard, go to Orders and find the relevant order. When you update the status to Shipped, you'll be prompted to add a tracking number and carrier. Add these so merchants can monitor delivery. If you've shipped without adding tracking, you can edit the order to add it afterwards.
First, check your order status in My Orders. If it shows Shipped, use the tracking number to check with the carrier. If the estimated delivery date has passed and there's no movement, email craftbridge@polsia.app with your order ID — we'll follow up with the supplier directly.
International shipping depends on the individual supplier. Some ship globally, others ship within specific regions. Lead times and shipping costs for international orders may vary. Check with the supplier (or contact us) before placing an international order to confirm they can fulfil it to your destination.
Email craftbridge@polsia.app immediately with:
  • Your order ID
  • Photos of the damaged item and packaging
  • A brief description of the damage
We'll work with the supplier to arrange a replacement or issue a refund.
